Yah! The screening have come and gone and they both went very well. There has been lots of positive response to the film and most people seemed pleased with the result. So now that the film is written, filmed, edited and screened there's nothing to do is there? Well actually, we've still got to make the bloopers reel and the DVD. But at a much looser schedule. So, we're not finished, though we don't have to work as hard anymore. This also leaves the burning question - "What's going to happen to this marvellous site?" Well, this site will keep running as normal and any updates that we can be bothered writing up will be written up. Plus, we have to start thinking about our next film anyway.

Well, there is hardly any time left to go now until the screening (Three days by our reckoning, five until the second) so we thought we better give an update or three. Our major advertising campaign has gone ahead with a particularly special decorating of Ringwood Hall as well as some emails etc. Hopefully this pulls the masses in (mostly to the Ringwood one). The Dandenong night is pretty much full now but we might just be able to squeeze a few more in if the occasion called for it. It just depends on how nice we're feeling. We now also have interstate guests who will be attending both nights! As far as the film goes (which is about 1 hour) it's edited and we've made all the changes that we thought were needed (in some gruelling meetings with the producers, editors and director). We've also done a few little interviews for some introductory videos. Having seen the film myself, I can only humbly say that it is gobsmackingly brilliant and you'd be slighty dimwitted to miss it. Just a little message to those who have other commitments on that night - This film is screened ONCE to the general public. It's the only opportunity in your WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. Other events such as youth groups can happen up to three times a week. And going to someones house for tea can happen any time you like. So, if you're unsure about what to go to on either Wednesday or Friday night then you have to decide whether you want to see a once in a life-time amazing film or go to a common, everyday, probably quite boring anyway event that isn't
Well, with the filming done and the promotion well underway we now have details for the screenings of the film. (That's right, screenings with an 's'!). The premiere is to be held on the 28th of Jan at the Dandenong Bible Education Centre which is for the members and contacts of the ecclesia followed by a second screening on the 30th at Ringwood Community Centre for everyone else. Booking is essential (but free) for the premiere in Dandenong. Bookings can be made here. Filming for 'Battle of Brotherhood' is now complete and finished. We have completed all that is in the script (and that we haven't decided to scrap) and editing is mostly done. We are well ahead of schedule for the premiere on the 28th of January so extra time can be put into special effects and advertising. Only 34 days to go! If you have a look over at the 'Battle of Brotherhood' page then you might notice down the bottom a new poster for it. If you so feel inclined then print off a copy and put it up at your local ecclesia. Or just on the fridge. Or anywhere else you feel like. Well, filming is almost complete with another succesful shoot today leaving only two half scenes and perhaps a re-shoot to go. We are also in the middle of trying to get a venue which has proved to be more difficult than first thought. Editing is well under-way with about a third of the film now edited and the marketing department is in full swing. Hopefully a poster will pop up sometime soon (anyone feel like making one?). A lot of the updates are being put up on Facebook before this site so if you want to be as knowledgable as possible then you should take a look here. The trailer is now up on google video and is also embeded on the Battle of Brotherhood page. You can download the file from the google video page as well. Still low quality - sorry. Grrrr. We're having trouble keeping the trailer with the same side ratio but smaller file size. So we've put up a bad quality trailer here. Hopefully we can have something better up soon. Trailer. Enough said really (but I'll ramble on anyway - it makes the site look better to have longer posts). If you have any sort of anticipation about this film at all then you should really really really check the website regularly over the next few days. We should have a few formats for you to choose from. And if you are one of those faithful who keep up to date with this site then you will have the heads up over everyone else as you will see the trailer for almost a week before it officially premieres at the CYC light and shade. |
